Gema Ramirez

Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer based in Austin, Texas.

Hi there! 👋🏼

With 12 years of professional experience, I specialize in facilitating transformative learning and enhancing educational standards through creative approaches. My passion lies in collaborative teamwork to design learning experiences that bring about behavioral change. I prioritize clear communication and the exchange of ideas to foster creativity and problem-solving.

As a dynamic educator, instructional designer, and eLearning experience creator based in Austin, I am driven by a love for storytelling and a commitment to creating engaging environments. My cultural roots and life experiences influence my unique approach to education and career guidance.

Central to my design philosophy is placing the learner at the core, actively involving them in the learning process for better retention. Trained in both backwards design and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), I consider these crucial in planning and developing content to address identified learning gaps.

A bit about me: Born in Nebraska and raised in Jalisco, Mexico, I returned to Nebraska to become the first in my family to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching soccer, attending cycling classes, reading my favorite books, and caring for my plants and puppy. Family and friends hold great importance to me, however, I may spoil my puppy a tad more.
